Timing Belt Kits

Autocare provide quality timing belt kits or cambelts for a wide variety of car makes to garages, mechanics and hobbyists throughout Leinster.

The cambelt is the ridged belt connecting the crankshaft to the camshaft. It ensures synchronised rotation of these parts and controls the opening and closing of the engine's valves.

Our kits contain all the necessary parts required when changing the timing belt. Many newer cars have timing chains instead of timing belts thanks to their greater longevity.

But if your vehicle does not have the chain version, you will need to change it according to your manufacturer's recommendation which is typically every 60,000 miles or five years.

Autocare advise customers to replace the water pump that is driven by the cambelt at the same time of replacing the belt itself. Replacing the camshaft and crankshaft seals is also advised.
